Zeppelin LZ 4 1908 - Event card for the destruction of the airship on 5.8.1900 in Echterdingen, franked with 5 Pfennig Germania and sent from Blomberg 7.10.08 to the German Post Office in Hankau (top left arrival stamp of the Chinese Post). The card was then apparently forwarded to Nanking (illegible 2nd stamp left of the mark). Due to the different thickness in the card fold the thinner side was bent during transport. We supported these with two small hinges. As a use on the normal postal service in Germany already very rare, the combination of an early Zeppelin card and shipping to Asia / China should make this piece a rarity. Therefore, the kink is absolutely negligible too.
